Free Cee Just a Tan Line Around My Finger

ONLY A TAN LINE ON MY FINGER NOW

There is nothing in my life left of you
Yet I am left bereft of you
No trinkets remain of you
Only the ache and pain of you

I look around but empty is all
An empty room and an empty hall
Empty of you and all your gifts
After all the rights and all the rifts

That ring you gave me is on someone else’s finger
A present that wasn’t meant to linger
That pen you presented me with is gone
Yet my memory of you goes ever on

If the truth be known I shed you well
But only after too much time in Hell
Purgatory was persuaded by damage
But happily I’ve found the means to manage
