Free Cee Do Not Will Not

DON'T WON'T

I looked outside my window and the world was still there
just the way it was yesterday before the moon drew near
still the same world where shocking events take place
and it seems as if God sleeps in Satan's embrace

across the street is where a destitute man will shine your shoes
and an abandoned candy store both owned by a man born to lose
I used look outside and see children at play
now those kids become more at risk every day

the world seems the same with the birds and the trees
only now I hear not the tweet from the birds but obscenities
they're cursing mankind for being so unkind
but at least everyone's shoes are still shined

I look out the window and today is twin to yesterday
as each person decides to do it his own way
I beg them to consider the future but they don't
so today the world seems the same but perhaps one day it won't

Ooh-hoo, you never fail to entertain, bruv. I will steal this line from you sometime: "Today is twin to yesterday". Well done on yet another masterpiece. Licia :)
