Free Again
In the beauty of the forest, down floats a feather, a feeling of release, no wrists bound and tethered.
In the calm of my forest, I step into the lake, beginning to ebb the pain, because now
im awake.
standing in the shallows, with the feather in my hand, as water tendrils brush my
ankles, watching sky and land.
above treetops far away, I see a lone crane fly, his feather a sign of healed pain, and I let out a sigh.
