Free

When I learned the truth,
the only thing I want to do
is to be free.
Free from emotion, free from
anything, free from
everything.

Free like a bird, free like
fruits hanging senselessly on trees,
free like a fish without air, free
like wind-blown ashes.

To be free, to be
free, forever I long to be

Until, the ground hits me
in the head, until I regain
my senses, until
I feel the need
of air, until I
feel the burn.

To be free, I want to be
but the pain reminds me
to be free and to live
are two different things.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
