Fred and Ethel

Fred never bought a pedestal for Ethel's keep and he provided her with only things cheap. Despite being a grouch and miser, it was oft clear Ethel was Fred's desire.
Ethel loved, fussed at and foiled her man while giving his happiness all one can. The more she and Lucy grew trouble, the more she longed for Fred on the double.

Are you familiar with I LOVE LUCY? Fred and Ethel lived in the same building and were in every episode as Lucy and Desi's friends/consorts. They were somewhat older, but the couples were friends throughout the show's duration. Glad you enjoyed the clerihew - I just wish to remember how to spell it. All the best ... CayCay

Love it, CayCay! I almost did mine on Lucy & Desi, I don't think it would have been as good as yours is with Fred & Ethel. Congratulations on your win. :) Charlie

I Love Lucy fame would not have been the same without Fred and Ethel! They were a class act and I still enjoy watching them on old reruns. Well done CayCay! Congratulations on your win! : ) xxoo

Yes, Fred had to rescue Ethel many times because of Lucys antics. Nice clerihew, CayCay. Congratulations on your win! Best wishes, Carolyn

Lucy was always getting Ethel in trouble. In fact, Lucy stayed in trouble. :) This is such a fun write. My best to you CayCay, in the contest. ~ Brandy

Want to thank you for the little gift (they did not work but maybe it's because I am too used to Temazapan) Other things to talk about. Maybe sometime we can talk.

this is just darling, Caycay!! You were quite imaginative in thinking of this couple! I used an oldie: sonny and Cher! Saw an awesome movie today and now I need to get off here and brew my two week's worth of Essiac tea. Joe should be home soon and I have not even got the sheets back on the bed.All I did today was laundry!!
