Frankie's Day

   
Born in 1944 the 17th of March
The day ‘tis called St Patrick's Day
To me it’s Frankie's day
My darling man I send to you
my love with birthday wishes
Frankie I still miss you so
devastated you had to go
For now I live here all alone
so lonely here inside our home
Loneliest time the evenings
I turn to talk there's no one here
Reaching out to stroke your head
there's just a pillow here instead
Now that I have Parkinson's 
oh it feels ten times worse
Darling  Frank ~ did you know
Did dearest Neil tell you so
So suddenly he left that day
broke all our hearts when called away
Please send a sign telling me
you're both together now
With Mum and Dad and those you love
your birthday now in heaven above
So darling sending all my love
Please send me strength
Please send me love
Until my time please wait for me
at heaven’s gate
