Frankenheart

Frankenheart

In the world of broken hearts
only one was quite revered.
To some who did not understand
it was even feared.

It had been torn to pieces
some of them were lost.
The only heart in all the land
that understood the cost.

Still it learned to love again
and grew stronger bit by bit.
Then once again be shattered
but that heart would not quit.

Til one day it gave its love
to another passing by.
This time broke so badly
they thought that it would die.

All the broken hearts gathered
and each gave a small part.
With love stitched it together
he became the Frankenheart.

A frightful sight to behold
with scars inside and out.
But Frankenheart best understands
what love is all about.

When all the broken hearts began
to build walls all around.
With love Frankenheart convinced them
to take the walls back down.

For love he said is not love
if it's always kept within.
With all good things there is hurt
You must learn to love again.

He led them by example
he loved them every one.
In the world of broken hearts
his work is never done.

Each time a heart gets broken
Frankenheart gets a stitch.
And if you see him you will know
love can be a *****.
