Frangible

The feeling of fragility is precious,
But it demands emotional mortality.
A longing for something so distant,
Emotions unfounded and absent.
Hold me and I may break.
Kiss me and I may die.

Not sure why I’m glued to this free verse of yours…You’ve managed to captivate me with these 6 powerful lines of emotions. A scarred heart at one point of my life made me feel this way. So I can relate.

Thank you, i appreciate that this poem resonates with you too. The last 2 lines of this piece especially ring echos onto my ears. It's been 4 months since i wrote it and yet almost no day has gone by that I don't recite them.
