Frail and Fragile Bars

Morning brings a winsome chance
Perhaps my mind is allowed to dance
Allowed to feel my emotions free
To laugh, to love, to feel and be
What I was before the curtain
That cancer drew and made uncertain
A future beyond near gone years
Days filled with fear and tears
But alas, the only thing I feel
An emotion strong, raw and real
I hold it in behind surgery scars
Anger held back by frail and fragile bars

Such a sad and heart touching poem. I could feel this Paula. Nicely expressed
