Fragrant Winter Dream

Dreaming of more temperate climes
Grey midwinter heart longs for spring
When floral smell permeates air
With birdsong full of joyous life
Memories that are exquisite
My mind is full of summer dreams
As winter drags its icy feet
Enthralled I find a white snowdrop
Small miracle of perfection
Dreamscape nurtures my winter soul.
