Rispetto
The Rispetto lyric is generally composed of eight hendecasyllabic (11-syllable) lines. Early on the rhyme scheme was usually abababcc , but ababccdd is now more prominent.
Dictionaries define fragrant as a sweet
aroma; a pleasant, agreeable smell.
Yet, a fragrant odor's a sensual treat
that affects our mood much more than these words tell.
What makes a smell sweet is subjective, of course,
but a fragrant bouquet draws us to its source.
Fond memories tethered to a fragrant scent,
oft recall pleasantries and times well spent.
