Fragment

Trembling underneath
A mask once hid it all
I believe you hold the key
So I'll go and take my fall
I would shake, I'd cry in love's embrace
The horror of the bitter past
Oh, how I've tried to erase
Society's stones cast, their stones cast
(so fast)
And my serenity; the stillness of my heart
Lasts for a moment, then the moment is gone
This yearning to be comforted by the strong
Within this fragment of time; passing, tattered and scarred
Has it an affect on my reflection?
Saddened by my image in life's waters
My mind to the West
as the East slowly sets
Trembling underneath
A mask that hid it all
I believe you hold the key
So I'm here to take my fall
I wouldn't shake, Yet gently I know the tears to come
with embers, sparkling bright
The stones cast, now just the past
As I take a deep breath, and breathe in hind-sight
At midnight's beckoning, A void left amid the dark
Fadings; fragments, pieces, and parts
The weight becomes a bit heavy to bear
But it's a load according to who we are...
Could indeed, be it love waiting?
....pass the glass....
Where softly tears fall
Life dreams through the darkness,
~~where you are~~
