Fragile

A moment of Joy is never quite alone
As sorrow doesn't linger that far behind,
For every birth somewhere, somebody dies
For every romantic start, one unwinds.

So much of life is transient and agile,
Like a ripple in pond, it's quite fragile.
Emotions in life are like air we breathe:
Pulsating forever without being seen.

Jasmine flower plucked will soon curl up,
A smile rebuffed will burn for a while,
Dreams shattered may never rise up,
Child living in fear cannot hold a smile.

Delicate young mind is easily swayed,
Heart abandoned may never recover,
Friendship ignored will eventually fade,
Romance unfulfilled will look elsewhere.

Passion that resonates may be real love,
Conversation that dwells may be friendship,
If you let go life's beautiful moments,
You'll never know fully what life meant.

A sudden discourse of a random noise
Pollutes the sound of a rhythmic voice.
Delicate are the souls deeply forlorn,
Listen for their sigh as they silently mourn.

Love the last two lines and a smile rebuffed will burn for a while. So true that a child living in fear cannot hold a smile. Such is the sorrow and fragility of life! Nicely stated!
