Fractured

“Fight for yourself!” you plead with your mind. “Fight you unworthy creature!” When had you vanished? Pick up your pieces Scattered through-out time, Over the years. Mosaic fragments back into yourself, Vigilantly, filling your hollowed soul. You dare not stand against the light That people might see beams passing through cracks! Shining through holes you scraped in your being. You dare not stand against the light That they might recognize you damaged Damaged by your will! So you pretend… You play to be whole. If only that strength was to rectify yourself. You do have the strength if you can pretend.
