Forsaken

If I’m not mistaken
Then I’ve been forsaken
By the one
I thought I had loved
The sky above is falling down
I look around,
And the world I loved is all crashing down
I gave it my all,
Setting myself up for this eternal fall from her grace
I’m drowning in an abyss
Filled with all the things about her that I miss
Like the way she smiles,
The way she laughs,
The way she walks,
The way she talks,
The way she makes me feel inside
Most of all,
the way she makes me feel alive
