Forrest Floor
It courses majestic on the ground
Moss and ferns in miniature world
A masterpiece tapestry of life
All hidden in the endless shade
Silent hands writing
Giant arms waving above
The trees melody
A clearing caught the light
And sparkled in the sun
A second rain fell from the leaves
Like cradled drops of life
The squirrel scurries
To his home up high above
Nested in the sky
Always growing, changing new
Mushrooms, yellow, orange and white
So many kinds that I lost count
Chaos organized so well beneath the trees
Nature astounds green
Upward growing to the sky
Shrouded in the light
Peace is rising from the floor
I feel the song within my soul
Fed by myriad leaves all grows
In harmony and verdant care
