Forgotten Valentine
Last year I sent a card to you,
my special Valentine.
I wanted you to know about
this yearning heart of mine;
and should there be a spark of hope,
you’d give a little sign.
This year I sent another card,
the biggest one I met;
but nothing came from you to me,
it fills me with regret.
Perhaps they lost it in the post –
or did you just forget?
