Forgotten Time

A forgotten time,
Not long ago or far away.
lies in our past,
In the time between waking and dreaming.
Where no knowledge is known.
thoughts suspended for a second.
Like a canvas that held a portrait.
Now wiped clean to hold something more.
To give us a chance to open our hearts.
To imagine something more.
Beyond who we are to,
who we are inside,
In this second we are both.
In this second we are none.
Forgotten time.
This second we hold.
Until there is no seconds to go.
