Forgotten Sunrise

Today the sun did not rise instead on the horizon came the demons They flew towards me in sync with the songs of the sirens The demons came fast and furious and they approached me with pure evil pulling at my skin and reaching for my soul Hot, they were so hot and they melted my hair and burned my clothes But I fought them as they tried to pull me down down deep into the realm of Hell I would not win this day I would swelter and burn and cook for all eternity

Like Ink says, this one is sure dark. I really like it, Robert. But let's hope none of us ever has to face the demons. soupmail for ya.

Oh no, this is so deep and so very well written and expressed with such seamless alliteration and imagery! I really love your title and also the opening really drew me in! Some people are also like the sinister sun, burning us and pushing us, trying to lure us into the realm of hell! I really love especially the line “ pulling at my skin and reaching for my soul” Pleasure reading your soulfully moving poem! I like dark poetry and this one is brilliant! Sending you light always

Move over bats. Caves are going to be crowded when your prophesy comes true. This is a good futuristic prophesy.
