Forgotten Son

Forgotten Son

Waiting for you in the darkness
Concealed within your womb, I waited
Not knowing which way is up and which is down
I reach out into the darkness hoping to be found....

But as always you were not there,
Not there or anywhere I needed you.
Not ever, no never were you there
Never did you care.

Now my eyes are open, I see you
Not much to look at, I see you
Hiding behind your lies, I see you
Now that I don’t need you, I see you
With open eyes and a closed fist, I see you!
