Forgot

There’s something that I meant to do And I just plumb forgot. I wish this were a rarity But sadly, it is not. My brain can’t cling to any thought Unless I stop to write it And so I jot down notes because It doesn’t pay to fight it. But yesterday my memo failed ‘Cause I forgot to read it. I’d stuck it in my bag despite The fact that I would need it. I came across it later on, Too late for my intention. It wasn’t that important but Still worthy of a mention. For likely, this will reoccur More often, I would bet Since getting older means There’ll be much more I will forget.

Alas, I know what you mean, Ilene! Gave me a chuckle! Sometime take a read of my Senior Moments written in much of the same vein. Bob H

:-) and :-( I can certainly relate! (Hasn't been dangerous yet — at least not that I'm aware of, or remember ;-) FUN ONE! We gotta laugh at our foibles or go crazy.

Just like the computer, we have limited storage. Maybe one day we'll be able to wear a memory device.

What a picture of me. It doesn't take but a few minutes for me to forget something, so I also make notes (which I also sometime forget to read). Love this one. Beverly Read
