Forgivingest

Hark the neverstill story
of all things great and small!
And then the everwhilst glory
told 'n conjured to us all.

Heaped in mankind's sins
through the sages for the ages
the angel's rescue then begins
for centuries the battle rages.

Priests 'n poets, writers tell
the wisdoms that fall on pages
secrets not learned so well
the brave fight for courageous.

The simplest words that ring true
do evade our glance and gaze
it's what we always knew
that wins forever praise.

In one moment that we live
for all our foes we've found
if we just once could forgive
eternal peace is ours profound.

Beautifully written, Greg! My view on forgiveness is different but I do recognise what you’ve said as a great self-healing tool, as long as we are centred in lower mind. Congrats on your win!

Thanks so much. I know from your writing that mindfulness is no stranger. My teacher once said forgiveness is the most important thing in the universe.

If people could only understand that forgiveness helps them the most! If you think about it that way it is not so hard to forgive when it is helping yourself. The message in your poem shines brightly and beautifully Greg. Bravo! : ) xxoo

Looking at your bio Connie, I see the Eastern thought influence. It shows in your work also. My Buddhist teacher said that forgiveness is the most powerful thing in the universe. Thanks for your comment and I appreciate your kindness.
