Forgiving Myself

Piece's of yesterday gone from my mind
What passion was there, what more can I say.

My heart still yearning for closure I will never see
As I drown out all the saddness
I know a complete being I will never be.
In myself I find no peace
But in his heart I find no grace
What I once held so dear
Someone else took my place.
I begged for forgivness
To release me from my pain
I said it truly and fully
In my head I hold no vain.
I could give up
But then he would win
And that would leave me
Holding all of our sin.
It was not all my fault
That you had to go away
I wish you peace and love
On this sad, sad day.
