Forgiveness
Consider how flawed we are
Our offenses way over par
One must be objective and not selective
Or willingly disregard
A transgression has been committed
Contrition sincerely submitted
The scales will not balance holding hated or malice
Without anger and hurt omitted
While measuring the weight of the guilt
At some point the scales will tilt
Will you forgive or hold on to relive
And tear down the relationship built
If forgiveness weighs on the wrong side
Ill feelings will never subside
Next time you fall or you drop the ball
Fate's justice will not be so blind
