Notes About The Poem

Forgive, as we ask forgiveness.

Forgiveness

This gift, this gift, forgiving and free
It was meant for you and me.

Decide forgiveness is a guide,
Look it in the eye and feign no pseudo pride.

Each cut of grief we must care for,
Forget not the root, with forgiveness cure.

Forgiveness is gift we forthright can give,
Like fair advice receivers receive.

Forgiveness is relative of love
It flows in silence from above.

It touches humble hearts, and melts those callous as ice
It may seem radical in part, yet in it we can rejoice.

Can you see its worth?
Partake in its birth.

Let your inner artist roam free,
Forgive you, forgive everybody.

It sets captives free,
It is a gift from God to you and me.
