Forgiveness

Forgiveness

My chalice overflows
with the wonderment of His love,
that first my sins are forgiven,
so that I may follow with faith above.

If He can blot out my wrongs, as far as east meets west,
then I can do the same for you, at least try my very best.

We are all God’s children, neither one above the other.
Though we make mistakes, at least offer a fresh start.
How I forgive, is by an open door, so that we can recover.
And why I forgive, is to please God, and preserve a faithful heart.

I forgive to please God ???????? Amen. Wonderful! Jesus said: "forgive in order to be forgiven"

Thank you. The greatest words I ever heard came from an inmate behind bars who said something like the following, "thank you Lord, now I am truly free." Our faith in him saves us. Our freedom rests in his forgiveness, and our ability to forgive others with a desire to please him in thanksgiving. I am so happy for you that you received his salvation. I am praying for you, and sending my love.
