Forgiveness
Who are we – mere mortals that we cannot forgive?
Just make it a practice to live and let live.
Hanging onto bitterness or hate brings no relief.
Instead it brings you simply more misery and grief.
Resentments are huge sores that can fester deep inside.
It’s easier to let them go – just swallow stupid pride.
That pride or stubborness which keeps your anger going -
picture it as a tumor that keeps growing and growing.
Release it; let go of all that negativity.
Make room inside yourself for happy energy.
Forgiveness does not mean you have to make a foe your friend.
The person you forgive might stay awful to the end.
But you, my friend, have got to free hard feelings from your soul.
Your spirit then can heal; your heart with love can then be full.
