Forgiveness
Some folks hold a grudge
for years and years
savoring it in their heart
while their bile churns.
Others "forgive and forget"
going on about their lives
as if it all never happened
like a dog wagging its tail.
For some, forgiveness is hard
they have to work at it
as if it were a gruesome job
that takes sweat and blood.
Time supposedly heals all wounds
but waiting for time to do it
might take a lifetime,
but who knows how long that is?
If help is needed in this
there is Someone you can go to
you can ask Him to help you
He knows all about forgiveness.
