Forgive me, childhood, sweet mirage of lost time

Forgive me, childhood, sweet mirage of lost time, When I ran through fields with dreams tied to the blue sky, There was a time when I believed your days were endless, But the desire to grow up blinded me with its deceptive brilliance. I was naive and didn't realize that every moment is a gift, I wanted to embrace the future without realizing I was losing the present, In the balance of life, I placed the dreams of youth, Unaware that I was wrong, for there is no way back. I miss your beautiful years when worries were just passing clouds, We were noisy children, running through meadows with crystal-clear laughter, Today, memories give me no peace, ghosts of a happy time, I regret not knowing how to cherish every second, every smile. Time, cruel and silent, won the game I didn't understand, It left its mark on my dreams, on my naive desires, I fed myself with the illusion that I would gain something great, But my childhood was already the greatest treasure, unknown. Forgive me, childhood, for wanting to grow up and change the world, I let myself be seduced by empty fantasies and illusions, Time gave me a bitter favor, distancing me from you, But in my heart, you are always present, the eternal joy.
