Forgive Me

White snow beckoned me my soul
Covered by a thin black veil
I have been lost weak no longer whole
Sorry for my selfish disconnect
I never meant to hurt you
Overwhelmed by sadness and loss
Madness tossed me to the wolves
But your words penned with love
And patience called my soul back
Arms opened lips parted I await
And pen this promise to you
That I shall wait for you for
A thousand years until the oceans’
Part and we stand side by side
Disrobed as one under the skies
Of Heaven forever my Love
For you and I are one forever.
