Forgive and Forget

Thinking this world was turning a new leaf
Reading a poem that turned to disbelief
How can I read such a praising word?
To a term of phrase that shouldn't be heard.

Don’t think I am sheltered in my life
Care and teach, don’t cut with a knife!!
Disappointed to say the least
Embrace, even people from the east

I know a word doesn’t amount to discrimination
But lead us God, not in to temptation.
Educate the world to be a united place
No matter, what ever colour, creed and even race

Many views that have upset me so
Feeling my soul cry, I just want to up and go
I’m here on the Soup for great inspiration
But I may have to leave, for lack of admiration

I may have it wrong, for that I hope
If thats the case, I will wash my mouth out with soap!
But, forgive and forget, and a second chance
My motto that is, and never give it a second glance

I have decided to read through a few poems from some of the people whom have written comments on mine and I have chosen to comment on this one because I can actually say you have grown since 3/2010. You have become expressive and a thought provoker. Your shared experiences mentioned in your poems leaves the reader to implement the way you think to their own. Have a beautiful day! I hope I will have more time on my hands to read a few more before 2013 is over. Simmplissity

You are the man. I am not here to dis anybodys poem. I will have my fun with you . Until you block me out. My" motto " is do not give insults if you can not handle them. Yes I can..Insult me to the fullest. By the way is this about suicide.

Gareth, my name is James, A man with no faith. But i can read a situation, that was blessed with grace. In the poem by Doris, this was a case, a lady of right, who has been declared in disgrace. This is not, and will ever be, intention by her, as in the future you will see. She is a country girl, and well brought up, there will never be poison, in her faith filled cup. For the slip of a word, now the whole world knows, this is not how a community grows. Chowa >> The Highlander >> James

I had to come back and take another look at this in light of all the controversy noted in Frank's blog. I wish everyone could learn to forgive and forget mistakes, especially when they were not intended to hurt anyone. Love, Carolyn

. I feel the need to explain it in a nut shell. V1. reading of a poem that has a word that should not be said? Maybe? V2.being Hurt that people are attacking one another, regardless of who they are. I just want people to help others understand. V3.again, to be gods creations and if we made mistakes, thats fine because we are creations in gods image, and he accepts we have to learn by making these mistakes. And we need guidence.

V4.Many times i've been upset, it easy to leave a situation due to lack of faith. V5. if my view is wrong, thats ok, and i'd admit it, but everyone needs to learn and thats the good thing about second chances and forgiveness. People will develope by this positive nature

You certainly have my admiration, Gareth. I hope you don't leave us! There are some find poets here who admire your work. Just block the naysayers who leave nasty comments. We all do that. But be assured, you have become an important member of our Soup family! Love, Carolyn
