I've had my share
Of doing right and doing wrong
And I still come out strong
No one's perfect, no, they are not
We can ask for forgiveness
And it will be forgot
We don't deserve all the grace
That is given daily
We are on a battlefield
And we need to save
It's amazing how we see
That our father would want to help someone like me
Forgive, forgave,
Pave a way
For your sake and others
We have to forgive each other

To past hurt and pain
But in the end
What do you gain
You don't gain
Just heartache and stress
Pat yourself on the back
You're doing your best
We all have fallen short

The difference is
You get up and try again
Don't put yourself through
More
By holding on to things that don't matter anymore
Look at your life
Look where you are
You've come very far
Because you didn't hold on
You became strong
And started to see
What forgiving can do to you and me.
