Notes About The Poem

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not

Forget me not when petals drop
or when succulent fruits decay,
though their energies dissipate
their existences are recalled,
on duller days when seasons change
and a brighter picture desired.

Forget-me-nots placed in a vase
sit on a pedestal table
in front of a boudoir’s window
placate the abandoned spirit
in times of melancholy stress
with heartfelt cherished memories.

Forget me not when petals drop
or when succulent fruits decay.

How lovely, Dennis, and your accompanying video! I bought forget-me-not earrings in Alaska as that is the state flower. Blessings!
