Forget and Forgive

16 Feb 2017 11:56 AM Sitting here day by day Time slips silently away Thinking of what should have been Wishing for what could have been Wasting thought and emotion On sins that God cast into the ocean He forgets when He forgives Yet we hold on and refuse to live Sin can be fun for a season As God warned us with reason For man will hold on with an iron grip Rather than abandon a sinking ship Our foolish wisdom and selfish guilt Can not fathom the grace that God built He sent His Son the Holy one to walk and die with us The sacrifice perfect and sinless to trust Yet we feel the need to wallow In self punishment so hollow Let go of what God has forgiven Let the blood of Christ bring his peace from heaven
