Forged In Fire

The great Hephaestus forged my heart from fire Granting me eyes like beautiful sapphire My body was molded like molten steel With heat in my heart to show how I feel Aphrodite blessed my spirit with grace Even if I don't always appreciate my face Zeus granted me lightning reflexes So I can travel to life's nexus Hades found within me a fear of death But assured me peace in my final breath Born in America my heart resides in Greece Where my spirit yearns for release I am but a distortion of the gods who created me Placed on this very earth for you all to see And my biggest desire is simply to find my place And people who will smile when they see my face
