Forever Young

I thought…

Yesterday was meant to last forever
Those clandestine halls where I once danced
Full of inexperienced rampant passion
I always believed in its tacit longevity
Yet when I turned it was now my past

Sweet reminisce…

Now as I spy through muted transoms
Trying to capture yesterday’s essences
Instead it’s like looking upon a beach
Seeing the footprints from a moment ago
Washing away with the incoming tide

I thought...
