Forever You My Love

Many years have passed silver strands in the hair 
A promise within this coloured ark held me captive
every dream has always ended with you 
Life put down snares to separate us love 
First it convicted me a criminal without evidence 
How the heart bled trying to defend itself against lies
Unsure of the path when tears told a story 
Until my dying day you were my everything 
Every memory holds you like it was yesterday 
Never forgetting how the sun shone on the vision of an angel 
It framed you forever as my best friend 
Lost in a world possessed by lies
The one and only whom gave me time 
A trigger I will never forget
