Forever Till the End of Time
~Forever till the end of time~
Once upon a time…this day
As sleep negates a dreamless plight
A spell now cast of evil pure
Through bramble thorns of deadly bite
~
For on this ghostly landscape stark
Wicked bending branches spy
A maiden still of forest keep
Beneath a watchful raven’s eye
~
Fruited fears consumed in spite
Poisoned as is lonely hearts
An aftermath of destined love
In shadows deep it now departs
~
Frantic with his feathers full
His tiny heart in worry broke
Horizon’s scanned for any sign
It’s then his squawking voice it spoke
~
“Fight this spoil my precious one
As I shall fly of taken rest
Seeking but the fortune’s fall
Castled deep my storied quest”
~
When in time a prince he shouts
“Beauty slumbers misted floor
Where a kiss upon her lips
Breathes in life to her once more”
~
Upon his steed of christened white
Blazing fast and sure of way
Love shall guide his cherished plea
Never more to run astray
~
When in the fog of deadly deed
Beauty on his eyes does call
Cherished as a whispered wish
Upon his knees in rapid fall
~
Tears do moisten yearning cheeks
A kiss upon her he does place
As lips now part the angered seas
of loveliness his heart does trace
~
An aura glows in golden sheen
As slowly she begins to stir
Her eyes they open and she sees
A prince now looking down on her
~
Then gazes ‘pon a wilting tree
A smile paused, her face does send
A thank you to her raven guard
For in his strength she can depend
~
“Fair maiden, every dawning morn”
The prince he spoke in whispered rhyme
“My soul, your beauty now is born
I’ve come this day to make you mine”
~
The raven winked, then spread his wings
Took to the sky of misted haze
Then sent to her in cackled tone
A farewell in euphoric phrase
~
“When dreams concede to feel his touch
Sweet as any fragrant vine
Now In his arms to spend your life
Forever till the end of time”
