Forever Stepping Back
There have been so many times I’ve had to pretend I don’t really love you - That
somehow I don’t really care if you love me back or not - All the while knowing…I
love you far too much
So I asked myself how many times have I fallen back in love with you…
So many I can’t recall them all - I wonder why we keep stumbling into this
strange cycle - Each claming a false indifference to the love we know we feel for
each other - Each afraid the other will gain a hidden advantage in a pointless
struggle in which we are both maneuvering for position by FOREVER STEPPING
BACK…
