Forever Lasting Bedtime Stories

I looked up to you my whole life
Your warmth, guidance, and love
Helped me along the way
Your high expectations
One day became my expectations
Helped me to grow and blossom
 
Your gentle touch and care
Encourages me still
To weather the storms of life
When I need a safe and peaceful place
My thoughts are with you mother
When I need wisdom
Your voice is chanting in my ears
 
When I think of my best friend
I see a picture of us smiling
Side by side
 
Tell me more of your stories
More and more and more
You know I am writing them
All in my head
To remember you forever more
