Forever Is Only a Word

Forever is only a word,
It is always meant to be heard,
But as I look back I would have preferred,
To think it had never occurred.

Love is only a thought,
I could never imagine what it brought,
Because of it, I have become distraught,
But without it, I would never have fought.

Excellent monorhyme, Molly. To many people, "forever IS only a word." But as you say in your second verse, falling in love made you stronger. Great work! Love, Carolyn
