Heather Lynn Poet Free verse

Forever

Whenever you gaze up, at the dark sky
and a particular cloud catches your eye...
You may feel as if you could fly,
because we are both there; Both you and I.

We are both there, staring up at the sky.
Asking ourselves, asking us why?
Why do I feel as if I could cry..?
When I look at that cloud, up there in the sky..?

We will both stand there, gazing up at the sky,
breathing the wind, that blows at our side.
Feeling the world, passing us by...
Trapped in time.. Forever..
