FOREVER? He said he would love her forever, Be true to her come what may. “We could be happy together,” he said She said, “Just name the day.” Got the ring and gathered their friends; What a wonderful day in July. Hot and dry and windless, Not a cloud in the sky. Today fifty years have passed since then; Gay celebrations there should be. Nay, alas, no party today.
