Forever
I used to carry the weight of forever
The doomed word attached to all my woes
My bad hair would not grow out
My zits stuck to my cheeks
My critics' words stretched out
In their awkward moments
My ugliness captured on photographs
Until forever got shredded into pieces
The haircut and pimples gone
The pictures tucked away in a closet
The butterfly forgetting
Its caterpillar days
