Forever

How long have I known you? Forever and a day, Since the stars were first born, Since the first wave crashed on the shore. How long have I loved you? Forever and a day, Since the first rays of sun kissed the earth, Since moon light struck a chord. From the very beginning of the beginning, my heart has been yours- Even before it learnt to beat, it recognized yours. From the very moment my soul was born, I knew it was only half of a whole. A piece belonging to another piece. A soul entwined with yours. Not time, not space, nor distance apart will keep me from you. My love. My one and only. Me. You. We. How long will I love you? Forever and a day. Beyond that too. There simply is not a me, Without a you. How long will I know you? Forever and a day, Forever and always. Always. And yet, still more. More and more and more I hope. I pray. And forever - beyond time, fate, lifetimes and death..... I will always remain yours.

I am really flattered. Thank you. No, I wrote this poem recently. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and have been through a great deal together but we were undoubtedly made for one another. True soul mates (as cliched as that is). And this poem is just an expression and an acknowledgement of that.

it’s about my life in love with my forever soulmate. A love that goes beyond time - One that has spanned from the beginning of the beginning and will last until the end of the end.
