FOREST QUEEN

As ash the oak remembers the kiss of the flame.
Fallen branches remember the wind’s caress.
The bark is armor hardened by time.
Her leaves hum lullabies for the sun.
Beneath her boughs, the breeze begins to breathe.
She stands. She waits. She grows. She knows.

Whoa, I felt that. It's dramatic and really delivers. You've got the gift. I say that because I read and commented on the 1st two poems you posted (don't want you to miss that). OK, I want to read a 4th one written by you. Have to go do that, well, again, I want to. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Wow...thanks so much...I was just saying earlier today that I wish I could get more readers for my work...I guess I just need that but I suppose we all long for recognition now and then so I needn't be shy about admitting it. Your words have brightened my day!

A strong and evocative piece, Danny—your oak becomes both queen and guardian of the forest. The imagery is rich and timeless, giving her presence a quiet majesty that lingers well beyond the final line.

I liked the imagery in this poem, especially: The bark is armor hardened by time. Her leaves hum lullabies for the sun. Like your poetic voice; keep writing
