Forest of Eyes

Where am I?
‘tween the mountain of loss
and the forest of eyes
upon a bridge I dare not cross

Should I wait?
And be swallowed by Hell
Or should I venture strait
Toward a most foreboding knell

I hope that these dark chimes
May light the path to better times
