Foreign Intrigue
He left his home in silent night
Traveled far to a distant shore
Working for the hidden men
He sought to spy, nothing more
He found himself within a town
A quiet town, there so serene
Blending in was his intent
Becoming one was his true scheme
He took a job just to fit in
To watch the girl across the street
To his surprise, things had changed
Because by chance, the two did meet
She was a blond, a radiant beauty
Petite in height, but tall in pride
He saw her glow upon their meeting
His heart then noticed. It could not hide
Within this country, sent to spy
He never wanted to fail his role
To his dismay, his job forsaken
To his delight, she had a hold
He, now with worry, had to tell her
They had to run, they had to hide
The men who paid him, were now chasing
Just where to go, theirs to decide
