Foreign Hearts

Amidst their poor land
Where their roots born
Ancestors' cherished land
Their identities shifting
Became foreign hearts.

I find this sad. A person needs to keep his home.

I bet the land remembers. Where my ancestors lived (Iroquois and French) on a reservation is now an airport.

Became foreign hearts” that last line speaks to my soul, and is a very deeply moving and soulful poem, i love how in few words you’ve said so much here! Pleasure visiting your page! Sending you light.
