Forced Myself To Pinken My Day

Today was pink yellow and orange.
Started out red and purple
Concentrating on sore throat
Oh woe is me
I am unhappy
Why me?

Remained dour for hours
Until I forced myself to pinken
By picking up a canvas
Lost in the colors for a few hours
Forgetting my sore throat

Orange on my finger now
Coaxes a smile as I
Remember the yellows
And oranges that distracted me
In their prettiness

Color therapy, garden therapy,
Painting therapy,
Grandchild therapy,
I am pretty easy
Knowing how to
Eliminate or camouflage
A red and purple day.

Oh I love this one; how wonderful to "pinken" up your day. I love the idea of it.

And you can do it, M.L. and from your poetry, I do believe that you do!

Love your colors to change the mood of your day. Sorry you aren’t feeling well. I also gargle with salt when I get a sore throat. I think it lessens the severity of the cold. Please feel better soon. SuZ

Hope this very colorful poem helped your sore throat, in fact hope sore throat has gone. Gargle with a tot of whisky at 12.00 midnight but don't forget to swallow! Love and hugs Jennifer.

Thank you Kim. I know all sickness is a reflection of ourselves somehow, but I cannot figure out why I insist on this on and off again sore throat. My tonsils were taken out 55 years, one month and four days ago. Not that I remember that Thanksgiving when I could not eat.
